About AJPE

Asia-Pacific Junior & Private Education: a family education advisory built around the child’s path, and a brand of Magellan Global.

The name

Asia-Pacific is where the families we serve live and where their children’s schooling begins: Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo, with Hawaiʻi as the bridge to the United States.

Junior is the age range: from the first nursery place to the last school application, roughly two to eighteen.

Private Education is the field: independent and international schools, and the clubs, capital instruments and credentials that surround them.

Our descriptor, Private Education & Family Advisory, says what we are retained to do. The line beneath it says where we come from.

Three lines of business

  • Admissions

Private school admissions across Asia-Pacific, Hawaiʻi, the U.S. West Coast and New York, including U.S. boarding schools. One adviser per family, candour in writing, and the child’s own work.

  • Memberships and debentures

Introducing agent for the secondary market in Hong Kong club memberships and transferable school debentures and capital notes. Hong Kong first; other cities as their markets allow.

  • Programmes

Ski instructor pathways in Niseko, Hakuba and New Zealand, sailing certificates in Hong Kong, and the activity portfolio that turns them into admissions evidence.

A Magellan Global brand

Magellan Global applies artificial intelligence to the digital transformation of knowledge-intensive professions and serves exceptional individuals, their companies and their families. Its brands share a navy, a signature line and a way of working. AJPE is the group’s family and education advisory; when a child reaches university age the family meets the rest of the group: magellon for global talent mobility, WG Global for mobility compliance, and ABAE for academic and professional credential evaluation.

Principles

  • The child’s path, not the transaction. We are retained for sixteen years of decisions, and we advise against purchases that do not serve them.
  • Candour in writing. Realistic schools, honest odds, and the capital view given separately from the education view.
  • The child’s work is the child’s. We coach and edit; we never write, test or script.
  • No one pays us but the family. No referral fees from schools, clubs or providers; commissions disclosed to both sides.
  • Rules belong to the issuer. Clubs and schools approve transfers and admissions. We prepare; they decide.
